Promise

The Promise Web Site is maintained by the Department of Public Welfare. At The Middletown Home we use this site to research the rates for reimbursement of our Medicaid residents. We also use this site to understand Medicaid best billing practices. This site also allows for the initiation and management of electronic billing.

The most recent Governor Rendell controversarial item that is managed through the Promise Web Site is the payment of the Provider Assessment Tax. This tax is based on residents who pay privately or who do not have any other payor source such as Medicare or Medicaid. The tax applies to each resident that falls into either one of these two categories. The tax is assessed by the facilities quarterly on this site and then submitted to Department of Public of Welfare for payment.
